About this journal
The Iowa Journal of Literary Studies (ISSN: 0743-2747 (Print) 2325-8845 (Online), ISSN-L 0743-2747) was managed and edited by graduate students at The University of Iowa, Department of English. They published the work of people currently or recently enrolled in graduate programs at the University. They published one issue annually and accepted submissions from August through December each year. Print copies of back issues are not available.
The journal began in 1977 and was published through 1991. In 1993, it was renamed the Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies (ISSN: 2168-569X (Print) 2168-5738 (Online), ISSN-L: 2168-569X). Iowa Journal of Literary Studies was published annually.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. The journal allows readers to read, download, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. Any other use, including distributing non-commercially, must be approved by the copyright holder.
Copyright and Licenses
The author may include the officially published version of the article (version of record) in an institutional or disciplinary repository, provided the posting includes a prominent statement of the full bibliographical details, and a link to the online edition of the journal.
