CuriousMinds: A hub for science outreach activities that engage young learners

Abstract

CuriousMinds is a website designed to showcase and archive science outreach plans developed by the Science Booster Club. Targeted at children aged 8-12, the activities are structured to last approximately one hour.

The site was built on WordPress and utilizes a blog format where lesson plans are posted as individual blog entries. A dedicated “Creating Your Own Activity” page offers guidance and brainstorming ideas for users to develop their own lesson plans.

The platform’s structure also allows multiple contributors to create and share content, ensuring the site remains a valuable resource for future use. Ultimately, CuriousMinds serves as a tool for the Science Booster Club, providing easy access to past lesson plans and fostering inspiration for the creation of new ones.
